Our responsibility towards employees and society
-
We value all stakeholders - regardless of gender, skin colour, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or ideology, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity. We promote a climate of acceptance and mutual trust.
We do not tolerate any form of discrimination and signed the "Diversity Charter" in 2018 as a commitment to diversity and equal treatment.
-
Our existing team is involved in the further development of the company through regular employee appraisals and employee surveys. Training and further education are also high on the agenda: more than 87 per cent of all employees have taken part in at least one of the numerous training, education and coaching initiatives. In addition, we invest more than 90,000 euros in the overall training of an individual apprentice - currently more than 1,500 in around 50 apprenticeships.
-
Safety in the workplace and the health of our employees have top priority as core values. We are working to continuously reduce the frequency of accidents and increase the health rate. Group-wide safety standards form the foundation of an effective health & safety corporate culture with a clear goal: "Zero accidents at work and no work-related illnesses".
-
We are committed to responsible procurement and pay attention to transparency in the supply chain. Our supply chain management systematically identifies and evaluates the social and environmental impacts and risks of suppliers' activities and takes them into account in development.

We and society
Our social commitment extends beyond the gates of the Group. For many years, we have been supporting selected projects in the fields of art, culture, sport and social issues through financial and material donations.
As part of the Group-wide exercise initiative, the "voestalpine cares run", employees around the world run for a good cause and support selected social projects.
